Project Objectives

The project aims at “Strengthened network of farmers’ organisations contributing to a sustainable community development, providing quality services to the members, with a strong focus on Gender Equality and Human Rights”. 


Some of the programme's expected results are:

  • Strengthened organisational capacity, accountability and strategic direction of Agrinet as a network of farmers’ organisations 
  • Increased capacity of the organisation on lobby and advocacy on local, national and regional level
  • Improved capacity of the farmers on productivity, quality and marketing
  • Increased production and marketing enhancing method of cooperation 
  • Improved the production standards and marketing through the establishment of regional fruit producer’s commodity association
  • Improved awareness of the network members on the impact of climate change on agriculture and adaptation measures;
  • Increased knowledge and farming efficiency through implementation of the SC method 
  • Improved women leadership skills and participation in the leadership of organisations members
  • Increased women role in decision-making process through the development of the regional rural women forum 
  • Entrepreneurial capacities and initiatives of women living in rural areas improved, aiming to generate the income provided by their on and off-farm activities 
  • Increased access to financial services and access to property/land for women in rural areas 
  • Increased active participation of AgriNet network in national and international networks 
  • Improved relationship with other stakeholders aiming to promote the rights and discuss different topics and problems
  • Improved the collaboration with other partners of We Effect, aiming to exchange the experiences and joint activities
  • LEADER / CLLD approach promoted on the national level and initiatives for the establishment of Local Action Groups supported
