Cooperatives Europe Launches Gender & Diversity Focus Group Series

Cooperatives Europe is excited to announce the launch of its Gender Equality & Diversity Focus Group this month. On 27 May 2025 from 10:00-11:30am, gender experts and cooperative members will meet to discuss gender inclusive leadership in cooperatives, kickstarted by the Presentation of WeEffect’s recent report. The discussion will explore the obstacles to women leadership in the cooperative mouvement and will dive into experiences and best practices on how to foster a gender inclusive leadership in the workspace.  

What is the Gender Equality & Diversity Focus Group? 

The objective of this Focus Group (FG) on Gender and Diversity is to establish a forum for interested cooperative members to engage in open dialogue with both cooperative and external experts on various topics related to Gender and Diversity. It aims at fostering discussions, sharing knowledge, good practices and collecting data on gender-related initiatives across Europe. The results of these meetings will then feed into Cooperatives Europe’s advocacy work on gender and diversity, in collaboration with its members and partners.

Cooperatives Europe is launching a call for experts ahead of the first meeting to identify and invite relevant experts on gender inclusive leadership in cooperatives.
