Cooperatives Europe Takes Part in the European Commission’s “Social Economy Voices” Campaign

One of the key goals of the European Commission’s Social Economy Action Plan is to raise awareness about the social economy and its potential to drive inclusive and sustainable growth across Europe.

In alignment with this objective, Cooperatives Europe participated in the European Commission’s “Social Economy Voices” campaign, spearheaded by the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL). This campaign initiative highlights the work of various organisations, such as worker cooperatives, social enterprises, and mutual societies, that form the backbone of the social economy, sharing their stories and values to inspire greater recognition and engagement.

As part of the campaign, our colleague advocacy officer Mathilde Delabie highlighted the unique contributions of cooperatives and the cooperative model to Europe’s economy and society. She also explained how Cooperatives Europe contributes to magnifying the magnificent work of cooperatives.
