European Commission’s public consultation on the COSME Programme

The European Commission has initiated a public consultation aimed at gathering insights from stakeholders and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) regarding the COSME Programme (Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, which ran from 2014 to 2020).

The COSME Programme, during its operation, extended its support to a diverse range of projects, with a primary goal to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs. It offered backing for initiatives such as the Enterprise Europe Network, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs, initiatives in tourism and social economy, as well as the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Help Desks. The programme also provided support for initiatives designed to foster innovation in procurement and to make procurement procedures more accessible to SMEs.

For those organizations who have applied (irrespective of the outcome) to this COSME programme, this is an opportunity to provide your feedback and help the Commission to improve future support programmes for SMEs. Please note that the deadline to participate is 18 September 2023.

The questionnaire is simple and user-friendly and will only take a few minutes to fill in. In order to answer this survey, you will need to request an EU login password online if you don’t already have one. You can request this by clicking “register ” at the bottom of the page and filling in the form. This is an easy process and online support is available in case needed.

The consultation is available here.
