YECN General Assembly 2025 to be held in Porto

The Young European Cooperators Network (YECN) General Assembly 2025 will take place in Porto, Portugal, from 5 to 7 November 2025.

Hosted by CASES – the António Sérgio Cooperative for the Social Economy, this edition will be a milestone for the cooperative youth movement. After years of building momentum, the YECN will formalise itself as an official network, setting out its governance, membership, and terms of reference.

This makes the Porto gathering not only a place for exchange and inspiration, but also the moment where young cooperators shape the final structure of their own European network.

Over three days, participants will take part in statutory sessions, collaborative workshops (including a “vent event”), panel discussions, cultural activities, and field visits to Portuguese cooperatives. The programme is designed to combine decision-making with learning and discovery, offering both a voice in shaping YECN’s future and the chance to experience the strength of Portuguese cooperativism first-hand.

Accommodation and meals will be provided for participants, with 30 places available. Travel is not covered, for this participants are encouraged to seek support from their organisations or federations.

We encourage cooperatives and federations to support their young members in joining the YECN General Assembly. Investing in youth participation today strengthens the cooperative movement for tomorrow.
