On the occasion of 2012, declared by the UN as the International Year of Cooperatives the Cyprus National Committee for this event invites you to the 2012 International Year of Cooperatives Conference in Cyprus. The Conference, which is organized in cooperation with Cooperatives Europe, will take place at the International Conference Center in Nicosia on the 28th to the 29th of September 2012, during the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The Conference sessions will be the following:
1.Co-operative answers to the current economic crisis2. Co-operative Development Support: Dialogue between Cooperative experts and EU policy makers.3.Co-operatives and regional Cohesion: The role of cooperatives in Cyprus in 2012. 4. Towards a new European Co-operative Society regulation: An overview of national co-operative legislations in Europe and the potential for revision of the Statute for European Cooperative Society (SCE) Regulation.
The Conference starts on the 28th of September 2012 at 08.30 a.m and closes on the 29th of September 2012 at 17.30 p.m. Live translation in Greek, English, French and Russian will be available during all Conference sessions.
