On 5 June, the seminar “People-centred businesses: Making Supply Chains work for Small Producers” will take place at the European Parliament. Organized by Cooperatives Europe and the Fair Trade Advocacy Office, the seminar will aim to create a much-needed space for discussion around the risks and opportunities of the private sector working in development. It will highlight the advantages for EU Institutions and other actors to partner with people-centred businesses, such as cooperatives. High-level speakers such as EU Commission Andris Piebalgs and MEP Gay Mitchell have already confirmed their participation. Online registration will be launched by the end of the month and the event will be open for anyone interested in the subject.
