Launching the #CoopAnniversaryAwards – Let’s award inspiring cooperatives!

Cooperatives Europe is turning 20. To celebrate this milestone, we are launching the #CoopAnniversaryAwards to find the best examples of our model in action.

As Europe looks to reinvent itself, the solution is closer than we think. The cooperative model provides answers to many modern challenges, from the climate crisis and energy transition to achieving greater autonomy and self-reliance.

We want to show how cooperatives solve real problems.

We are looking for notable projects in two categories:

• Award for Cooperative Stewardship: For cooperatives that stay true to our values while growing their business.

• Award for People and Community Impact: For cooperatives and projects that help local people and communities (e.g., involve the next generation).

The Prize

Finalists win a trip to Brussels to speak on the main stage of our big celebratory event at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). We will pay for travel and accommodation for one person per finalist. At the event on 15 October 2026, the audience will vote live to pick the winners. Your story will also feature in a special anniversary publication sent across Europe.
