Register now for our workshops at the Civil Society Week 2026 !

On the occasion of the Civil Society Week, taking place from 2 to 5 March 2026, Cooperatives Europe will present two workshops around this year’s theme: Europe’s future around People, Democracy and Resilience.

Together with other civil society organisation, we will co-organize two workshops on 4 and 5 March exploring the challenges faced by civil society and social economy organisations —including cooperatives—regarding an enabling regulatory framework and access to funding across the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).

Join us for the following sessions:

  • 4 March (16:30–18:00) for a workshop “Building an Enabling Environment for Democratic Resilience”.

This workshop will explore how initiatives like the Social Economy Action Plan, the European Cross-Border Association, the European Civil Society Strategy or adapted taxation can offer concrete support to SEOs and civil society organisations in Europe.

  • 5 March (09:00-11:00) for “Funding Civic Space: The Role of the EU and Other Donors.”

We will explore how the shrinking of civil society space impacts CSOs funding and how the MFF can deliver meaningful support for civil society’s action in different fields (both within the EU and in external actions).

Both sessions will be live streamed for those unable to attend in person.
