Workshop Report – The cooperative contribution to Ukraine’s sustainable recovery of agri-food and energy sectors towards EU Integration

On 24 June 2026, Cooperatives Europe together with the Rural Women Business Network (RWBN), the Cooperative Academy, SOCODEVI, and the Mindaroo Foundation hosted “From Rome toGdańsk: the cooperative contribution to Ukraine’s sustainable recovery of agri-food and energy sectors towards EU integration”. Organised under the framework of #coops4dev🌍, the event featured among the official side events to the 2026 Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) in Gdańsk.

  • Learn how national and European sectoral cooperatives across Europe are contributing to ensuring energy efficiency, food security, and climate resilience amidst conflict. 
  • Explore the impact of international cooperative development partnerships, notably SOCODEVI’s HONOR Project and #coopsdev🌍, on the acceleration of Ukraine’s recovery through technical and financial assistance.

The discussions built on the conclusions of the 2025 URC Rome side-event “Cooperatives for the Reconstruction of the Ukraine’s Agri-Food Sector”.
